COURSE DESCRIPTION
Mandarin 1B continues the development of students’ abilities and confidence in the integrated skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will learn more grammatical structures and vocabulary that will enable them to express themselves through more complex dialogues regarding dates and time, activities, hobbies and interests, inviting friends to dinner, visiting friends, and other topics. Building on their knowledge from the past, students will explore a deeper understanding of Chinese culture through cultural projects and daily mini lessons with fun facts about Chinese speaking communities in the world, including but not limited to geography, history, festivals, and arts and crafts.
