Find articles

Lama Library pays for access to many useful databases that contain journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.  

Getting to the Databases

Start at the library website: https://guides.library.kapiolani.hawaii.edu. Click on the arrow next to RESOURCES, and select Find Articles.

Click on General Research to expand the list of databases. There are many resources that you might want to explore, but EBSCOhost Research Databases is the place you'll likely want to start.

Using EBSCOhost Research Databases

Here are some basic EBSCO tips. Start by typing in search terms.

To limit your search to only recent articles, click on the "All filters" button.

In the popup window, click on Publication Date, select an appropriate date range, and click the Apply button.

Access the full text by selecting Access options.

Look for the icons/tools to help you cite, email yourself a link, or download the article.
