Program Description:
Hawai'i PEEC II offers 10-week summer programs for Native Hawaiian and underrepresented students on the path to a four-year degree in the engineering fields offered at UH Mānoa. Students are paired with faculty, peers, and research groups to conduct Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) and undergraduate research for academic credit and are enrolled in a degree-required Calculus course. Calculus recitation sessions and VIP research will be led by program peer mentors and VIP faculty & team members. Students also participate in professional development sessions, workshops, virtual site visits, and create a formal research presentation.
Hawaiʻi Calculus Academy is designed for pre-engineering students eligible to enroll in Calculus 1-3 during the Summer term.
Mānoa Design Clinic is offered to engineering students eligible to enroll in Calculus 4, MATH 302, or MATH 307 during the Summer term and students transferring from PEEC II UH campuses are strongly encouraged to apply.
