Hawaii PEEC II

Hawaii Pre-Engineering Education Collaborative Phase II (PEEC II) seeks to build on, test, and implement best practices derived from the original Hawaii Pre-Engineering Education Collaborative: Indigenous Knowledge in Engineering (PEEC-IKE) model. The overarching goals for Hawaii PEEC II are:

    • To implement, investigate, and evaluate the effect of discipline-specific undergraduate research on student success; and

    • To build capacity at Native Hawaiian-serving institutions to prepare students for STEM degree completion, seamless transfer, and entry into the STEM workforce

Leeward Community College UH Mānoa

Summer Program 2021! ~ Application for the PEEC II summer program is now closed ~

Hawaii PEEC II will be offering summer programs in 2021 at the various PEEC II campuses.

DEADLINE to submit applications for UH Mānoa program: April 01, 2021 by 11:59pm (HST)

Mānoa Design Clinic (MDC) -

    • A 10-week transfer bridge program (Calculus IV; faculty-driven research experience through the Vertically Integrated Projects Consortium)

    • Located at UH Mānoa

    • Who: current UH Mānoa PREN/CEE/EE/ME students or pre-engineering students transferring from any of the campuses listed above

At this time, our 2021 Freshman Bridge program will be offered virtually, however continuation of this program, its activities, or any of its student benefits are subject to change at any time.
