Categorize the colleges you are considering into the following 3 categories:
Reach/Dream Schools: These are colleges that you would love to attend, but statistically there’s not a great likelihood you’ll be accepted.
Match Schools: These are colleges that are a good “match” for you. Your profile aligns with students, who are typically accepted, and you would like to attend these colleges.
Safety School: These are colleges that, based on your individual profile, you should expect be accepted. It is only a “safety school” if you really are interested in it!

In addition to the web, files with school information are located in the Counseling Center and books are available for check-out from the guidance library. Counselors meet individually with students (and parents) for college conferences. Many colleges and universities will be visiting Hanover High School from September through November to present information about their schools. This is a great opportunity to learn more about campus life, academics, and admission requirements. Please log into your Naviance account to find out when colleges/universities will be visiting HHS.
