write the words/phrase out with their definitions
type the words/phrases out with their definitions
create double sided study sheet - folded piece of paper with words/phrases on one side and definitions on the other
study from the double sided study sheet - look at the definition, try to identify the word/phrase, flip the paper over and check your answer
create a 3 column study sheet with words/phrase in one column, definitions in the next, and a drawing/picture in the 3d
create a deck of flashcards
run the flashcards with another person - place the ones you got correct in one pile and the ones you got wrong in another; run the words in the wrong pile several more times
use flashcards in a yes, maybe, no activity - quickly sort cards into yes I know it, maybe I know it, and no I don’t know it groups - run the maybes and nos several times
create a card sort - cut an index card in half, one one half write the word/phrase, on the other half write the definition
use a card sort - scramble the set and try to match word/phrase to definition
create a Quizlet
use a Quizlet - use either matching or fill in the blank
use the Frayer Model - template is on Ms. Lauser’s website under tools
use a Word Map - template is on Ms. Lauser’s website under tools

rework problems you have areadly done and have the correct answer for
without looking at the complete problem or the answer, work the problem again
then compare your answer to the correct answer
pick odd problems out of the book and work them
check your answers to the answers in the back of the book
if there is information you just need to know such as a formula use the following to memorize and maintain it
write the formula out 5 to 10 timeson several daysin a row while you say the formula outloud or in your head
write the formula each time you need to use it on an assignment
if there are several formulas you need to know for a test, quiz or exam, create a desk of flash cards
review the flash cards with a parent or friend
review the flash cards by yourself create a knew pile and a did not know pile
review the flash cards until they are all in the knew pile
