Panopto is an easy way to record and share videos. Your recorded lectures, meetings, and videos, are centrally managed in a secure, searchable video platform that integrates with Blackboard. Panopto automatically stores all Zoom recordings, where they can be edited, shared, etc.

Panopto helps achieve compliance with federal accessibility requirements for online video content with flexible captioning options, screen reader support, and more.

At Gateway, Zoom videos are automatically stored to Panopto where they can be shared, edited, and closed captioned.

Our current storage space for recordings in Zoom is nearing its limit. To access additional storage in Zoom a premium is charged, however, Panopto has unlimited storage already included. To avoid unnecessary costs for the College, steps have been taken to manage this situation:

Going forward, 30 days after creation, Zoom recordings will automatically be deleted from Zoom Cloud Storage (remember, all Zoom recordings are automatically available in Panopto with the Zoom-generated captions).
On February 15th, 2021, Zoom videos from January 15th, 2021 and prior will be deleted from Zoom Cloud Storage.

If you need to use Panopto but are not teaching any courses in Blackboard you will need to log a ticket to request to be added as a creator after you have logged into Panopto using Sign In with Blackboard. (support.gtc.edu)
