ACT Prep is very important !! It can mean the difference between getting into college or not and receiving small
Scholarships or qualifying for LARGE Scholarships. Even if the student has already taken the ACT once, they may
want to consider using an ACT study program and taking it again to achieve a higher ACT score (the 2nd or 3rd
time).
We have some ACT Prep resources at school, but there are some GREAT ones out there that do cost a little bit of
money. Consider however, that if a student scores 2 or 3 points higher on the ACT they may qualify for Thousands
of extra $$$ in Scholarships, etc.

RAI Score...
Use the following links to learn more about the RAI and/or calculate what your RAI score is.
What is my RAI Score? Check if your current ACT/ GPA possibly qualifies you for Acceptance into UNI, ISU, or the Univ of Iowa.
RAI: What is it?
Effective Fall semester 2009, if you wish to enter any of the Iowa Regent universities as a freshman,
you must meet the new Regent Admission Index (RAI) requirement. If you meet the minimum high
school course requirements listed below and you earn an RAI score of at least 245, you will
automatically qualify for admission to any of the Iowa Regent universities. If you meet the minimum
high school course requirements and you earn an RAI score below 245, you may still be considered
for admission to any of the Regent universities on an individual basis.
The most effective way to increase your RAI score is to take additional core courses (i.e., college-prep
courses offered by your high school in any of the following subject areas: English, math, science,
social studies, or foreign language). It will not only enhance your chances for gaining admission, it
will also increase your likelihood for academic success after you’ve entered college!
