Welcome to the website for our special education classes at Taylors Elementary. This year we have 2 full-time resource teachers: Mrs.Dillard and Mrs. Hefner. We also have Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Hazard as the teachers in our Developmental classrooms, and Miss Neas and Miss Byars in our Emotionally Disabled primary and intermediate classrooms. 

At Taylors, we believe every child learns in their own way, and we are committed to helping all students succeed. To meet each child’s needs, we offer two types of special education support:

 Inclusion Services: A special education teacher works alongside the classroom teacher, giving students extra help right in their regular classroom.

Pull-Out Services: A special education teacher works with a small group of students in a separate room, focusing on specific skills to give them the extra practice and support they need.

Our goal is to make sure every child feels supported, confident, and ready to learn each day.
