Curriculum
program description
Each student must demonstrate a desire to do the work, a creative and critical thought process, an ability to focus for extended periods, and to be personally responsible for participating in all phases of the program.
The coursework is generally project-based, except where vocabulary and sketching are concerned. Students are expected to be prepared for and to actively participate in studio every day. We work to develop critical thinking skills, form thoughtful assertions regarding readings and analysis of architectural or design-based work, and drawing and modeling skills. Oral presentations, as well as written analyses, are utilized and necessary for the success of the student within the curriculum. Both analog (hand) and digital (computer) generation methods of modeling and drawing skills are explored.
