Biography

Mrs. Andrea ADams

After working as a Registered Nurse in our community for eleven years, I decided to serve our young adults in teaching health science at Robbinsville High School. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked at Graham Healthcare & Rehabilitation and Swain County Hospital until joining RHS in 2014. I have been married for 23 years and have three wonderful boys.

I obtained my teaching certificate in conjunction with my nursing degree and currently teach the health science curriculum at RHS. In 2019, I earned my National Board Certification for Teachers. I also graduated from the Educational Policy Fellowship Program in 2020.

In 2015, we reinstated the Health Occupations Students of American (HOSA) club at RHS. Many students have gained opportunities in healthcare experiences and competitive events through this club, and I have been blessed to serve as the advisor.
