Health Science II

This course is recommended for 10th-12th graders. 

Health Science I is a prerequisite. 

This is the completer course for the Health Science Pathway. 

In this course, students will learn about employability skills needed to obtain a job in healthcare. We will also explore the domains of healthcare careers. Students will learn medical assisting skills and take part in a Health Fair. Students will receive certifications in CPR, Blindness Prevention Training, and Blood-borne Pathogens. Students will take part in a job shadowing experience and visit healthcare agencies in our area. Students may receive certification in OSHA and an accreditation in Health Science. Honors is an option.
