Nursing Fundamentals

Recommended for 11th & 12th graders.

Health Science I & II are a prerequisite.

In this course, students will complete the classwork and skills necessary to attend a clinical rotation. Students will complete 1:1 check-off of 150 nurse aide skills. Students will then attend 40 hours of clinical at a nursing home, supervised by the instructor. At the end of the course, students will be eligible to take the NC NAI Exam and obtain their nursing assistant certification. They will then be eligible to work as a CNA.
