For Weekly Email Updates Regarding Scholarship Opportunities...
Green Lake School District has partnered with the Fox River Scholarship Center to manage our Local Scholarship Application. The Fox River Scholarship Center also hosts a plethora of information about other scholarships students may be eligible to apply for. Please visit the Fox River Scholarship Center website and click "sign up to receive email updates" on the right hand side. This will make searching for scholarships even easier.

Click here to view the "Local Scholarship Guide". This guide details many scholarships available to Green Lake High School students. Please remember that the guide is frequently updated throughout second semester and the most current version is always the version found at this link- look for the update date on the cover page.
Click here to be directed to the Fox River Scholarship Center Website. This is where you will create an online account to easily apply for all of our scholarships requiring the "Local Scholarship Application"- to be considered, the application MUST be submitted online using this format. The Local Scholarship Application applies students for several scholarships as outlined in the Local Scholarship Guide. This is an application not to miss out on!
Please note: When a student completes the Green Lake Local Scholarship Application (GLLSA) to apply for any one scholarship on the Fox River Scholarship Center (FRSC), he/she will be automatically considered for any other scholarship that uses the GLLSA. There is no need to worry if every single Green Lake Local Scholarship using that application method is added to the student "basket" on FRSC.
FAQ
Q: Do I have to upload all of the attachments that FRSC gives me the option to for the GLLSA?
A: No. The attachments are optional, but encouraged. Be sure to fill out the answer fields of the application as completely as possible. It is a good idea to supply as many supporting materials as possible with your application, but it is not a guarantee that the scholarship committees will look at your supporting materials.
Q: How do I upload my ACT scores, SAT scores, Academic Resume, Transcript, etc to my application for the GLLSA?
A: The best way to do this is to save them as pdfs and upload them that way.
Test scores: A scanned version of your test scores or even a screen shot of your test scores should suffice for this purpose - in this case, there is no need to pay and order official copies from the testing agency. If you have misplaced your copies, the office may have a copy of your score report in your cumulative file that you can ask for a copy of.
Transcript: A pdf of your transcript should suffice for this purpose. The pdf does not need to be an "official" transcript that you pay for or on fancy paper. You can receive a copy of your transcript by: 1) Requesting a FREE self-view of your transcript using Parchment.com, 2) Asking the office to run you an unofficial copy of your transcript, 3) Emailing the school counselor and asking him/her to email you a pdf of your unofficial transcript. Keep in mind that none of these things are automatic, so don't procrastinate!
Q: What happens to my application after I push submit on the FRSC website?
A: FRSC is the tool that Green Lake High School has chosen to use to help us accept and organize our Green Lake Local Scholarship Applications. After you submit your completed application to FRSC and the application deadline passes, the people at the FRSC organize the information and send it all electronically back to the school. The school counselor then looks through the information, checks for any potentially false or misrepresented information (aka: gpa, rank, test scores) and organizes the materials to be distributed to the scholarship committees that will review the information for their particular scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
Click here to access several pdf versions of other scholarship applications that the school has been notified of OR the notifications that contain web addresses to get more information and/or links to the electronic versions of the applications. Applications will be added to the current folder as we receive notification.

Please note: Even though several scholarships may allow students to attach additional supporting materials (i.e. academic resumes, test scores, transcripts, etc) that contain the information asked for within the body of the application itself, it is still HIGHLY recommended or in many cases, REQUIRED, that students fill in ALL areas of the actual applications. There is no guarantee that the committees will have time to look at all supporting materials OR that they will know where to best locate the information that is contained on the supporting materials.

What does International Baccalaureate (IB) have to do with anything?
One of the many advantages of taking IB classes and exams is that they can lead to possible college credits. This can save you a lot of time and money!

Do we have Advanced Placement (AP)?
Yes and no. GLHS does not offer AP classes. Students do have the option of taking AP classes online through WVS if our school does not offer a comparable class. However, students do not need to take an AP class in order to test in a subject area - which like IB exams could lead to possible college credits.
