Michael Sinde is in his tenth year at Glenbrook South as a Career and Technical Education teacher. After majoring in math and playing football at Knox College, Sinde spent three years teaching math at Waubonsie Valley High School and then went on to teach at Thornton High School for nine years. There, Mr. Sinde was one of 12 teachers selected across Illinois as a pilot teacher for the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program as well as serving as the Career and Technical Education Coordinator. Mike earned a second bachelor's degree in informational technology from DeVry University, his administrative certificate from Governors State University, his second master’s degree in technology education from Illinois State University, third master's degree in instructional technology from Northern Illinois University, and currently a doctoral candidate at Northern Illinois University in Instructional Technology. That's a lot of degrees! Outside of teaching, Mr. Sinde loves staying active. Although he isn’t playing football anymore, he still loves running and cycling.

Mike Stancik has been a teacher at Glenbrook South for 17 years where he currently teaches physics and digital electronics. Mr. Stancik attended the University of Illinois for his undergraduate degree and then earned his master’s degree at DePaul University. What he really loves about the Glenbrook South engineering program is the design component and that students are actually being taught how to approach a problem instead of just how to solve it. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Stancik loves water polo and also coaches this sport at Glenbrook South. He also loves music, both playing and listening to it. He plays guitar and his favorite genre is indie rock.

Justin Zummo is in his fourth year at Glenbrook South High School and his 9th year in education overall. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Technology Education from Illinois State University in 2010 and a Masters Degree in Online Education from Concordia University in 2015. He is the VEX Robotics coach and Bass Fishing coach for GBS which are his two biggest passions in life outside of teaching. This is Justin's second year teaching in the Science and Engineering Learning Community with the sophomore students in the Principles of Engineering class. He is really proud to be a Titan and loves working with students and helping them pursue their goals both in and outside of the classroom.
