Summer 2020 and School Reopening

Schools and offices are open this summer by appointment only. If you need to visit, please call the office first to schedule an appointment. In addition, all visitors must wear a facemask to protect the health of all.

During the summer of 2020 we continue to develop health and safety protocols for the reopening of schools. Our plans remain a work in progress. They are in compliance with the CT State Reopening guidelines. Please click the COVID-19/ReOpening button to learn more.

Please see the information below and the dropdown menu above to access our Smith Middle School resources.

Summer Learning

We encourage students to continue learning and growing during the summer months. We are fortunate that this summer current students advancing into grades 1–12 will have a school iPad at home. We have developed a Summer Learning website to provide a range of suggested summer learning activities.

We believe that summer learning comes in many forms. The site includes optional online activities as well as suggested activities that are decidedly “off-line.”
