The Smith Middle School Drama Club will present Shrek The Musical JR in the SMS auditorium at 7:00 pm on March 27 & 28.

The 8th grade Lake Compounce trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The cost of the trip is $43/student. The online payment system will be open from March 25 - April 24, 2026.

Smith Middle School earned its No Place for Hate school designation through the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for the second year in a row in 2025. This award recognizes the organized efforts of staff, students, and their families who stand against all forms of hate.
The Smith Middle School Girls and Boys Cross Country teams both took first place at the 32nd Connecticut Middle School XC Championships held at Wickham Park.
This marks the Boys Team’s first championship win since 2015 and the Girls Team’s third consecutive first-place finish.
