Glastonbury Public Schools
Respiratory Illness Info
(COVID, Flu, RSV)
Students and staff should take simple actions such as staying home when sick, washing hands, and covering their mouths when coughing and sneezing.
When a child has a respiratory illness, parents should:
Notify the school nurse
Keep the child home until fever-free (without medication) for 24 hours with symptoms resolving
Mask-wearing upon return is optional
We will continue to monitor respiratory illnesses circulating in our town, state, and country. We will adjust practices, with guidance from the CDC and state, if needed. Information about respiratory illnesses can be found here: Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Respiratory Illnesses Information.
