Throughout the year, the RWC hosts various writing contests,
including the fall Spooky Story contest and
a spring Creative Writing Contest in the spring.

The Annual Writing Contest occurs in the Spring. Students can enter their poetry, narratives, opinion pieces and/or short stories. Writing is judged on clarity of expression, depth of thought, originality of ideas and presentation

Spooky Story Contest: In the fall, we host a Spooky Story contest. Students can submit a short story, poem, dramatic monologue or other piece. The piecees are displayed in the writing center so that students and staff can vote on them. The pieces are judged on their scariness, originality, entertainment value and writing quality.
