About Me

Hello! My name is Mr. Barr and I have been teaching art at GJSD since 2002. I am a Pennsylvania native, and grew up in Cambria County. I am a 1993 graduate of Penn Cambria High School in Cresson, PA. I also graduated from Indiana University of PA with a Bachelors Degree in Art Education in 1997. My hobbies and interests include drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics.

In addition to my artistic interests, I am also a classic car enthusiast and have restored several classic cars along with my father and my younger brother. I love to listen to many types of music and have played the guitar as a hobby since I was in elementary school.

I currently live right here in Johnstown and teach art at the Greater Johnstown Elementary School. I love my job and look forward to helping students appreciate and create art every day!
