Subscribe in Google/Android
Log in to your Google account on a desktop or laptop computer. You will start by adding the calendars to your Google account and then you will synchronize your Google account with your Android or iOS device.
In the upper right hand corner, click on the 3x3 matrix of black squares to access additional Google applications. Pull down to Calendar to open your Google Calendar in a new tab or window. You will need access to the "GMS Digital Calendars" email sent on May 22, 2023.
Click on the three vertical dots next to the first calendar in your list of calendars, and pull down to "Settings and sharing"
Once you are in "Settings and sharing," follow these steps.
Click on "Add calendar"
Select "From URL."
Go back to your email and copy the full URL (long web address) of the calendar you want to subscribe to. Return to the Calendar settings page and paste it into the "URL of calendar" box.
Click the "Add Calendar" button under the URL box.
You're done! You can use the left pointing back arrow to get back to your calendar, and you will see the calendar you subscribed to.

Using an Android Phone OR the Google Calendar app on your iPhone?
You're done! You should be able to see the calendars on your phone, although you may need to refresh the app OR check that you've selected these new calendars to be visible.

You will need to make sure that the email/calendar account you just set up with the new calendars is set up correctly on your phone, which includes making sure that the Account is accessible on your phone AND that you've turned on Calendars.
