Over the last fifteen years, Gibbon Public Schools has experienced an increasing student enrollment with a peak of 649 in the 2011-12 school year.

The student population consists of about approximately 50 percent Caucasian, 48 percent Hispanic, and 2 percent others. The data shows that over the last five years the difference in the percentage of Hispanic and Caucasian is decreasing.
In the 2015-2016 free and reduced meal program eligibility is approximately 55 percent, which is higher than the state average.
Gibbon Public Schools provides services through the special education program to 13 percent of our students as of the 2015-2016 school year. This compares to the nearly 15 percent for the state.
As of the 2015-2016 school year, Gibbon Public Schools ELL population is at 19.5 percent. This is more than three times higher than the state average of 6 percent.
