EQUIPMENT
The team has a good supply of gear to borrow, especially for newer skiers. However, as the team has increased in numbers, the rate of broken equipment has out paced donations. We can NOT outfit everyone perfectly, but we can equip most. It is best if you have your own equipment, but not required. If you have questions, check with coaches before you purchase.
All skiers will need:
Combi boot are awesome. If you are racing for Junior nationals, you might think about skate and classic boots.
· Skate Skis: one pair of skis, poles and boots
· Classic Skis: one pair of waxable skis, poles and boots
· (Or one pair of combi-boots to fit skate and classic bindings)
Thinking of Renting? Powder House Ski and Patio and Sunnyside Sports usually have rentals. Give them a call.
When you get your EQUIPMENT home-
Put tape on your Skis and Poles with your name on them.
Make sure you know which ones are your Classic and Skate skis.
Classic poles are the shorter pair. Classic skis don't have glide wax under the bindings.
Make sure that the Boots snap into the bindings. Practice getting in and out if this is a new to you pair.
Jacket and Tights. Know your number. Put something in your jacket pocket with your name on it.
