Advanced Placement Government and Politics is a course designed to prepare students for the AP Government and Politics test. The course requires not only content coursework, but that students stay abreast of current events.
Advanced Placement United States History is a college level course structured to prepare students for the AP US History test administered by the College Board. This course will require more reading and writing than most social studies courses, and it will proceed at a very quick pace. Students will need to plan for an extended work load if they wish to succeed in the course and on the AP test.
College Credit Plus United States History is a cooperative course taught with Lorain County Community College. First Semester students are taking LCCC's HIST161 and Second Semester students are taking HIST162. Students will be working at a college level and receiving credit from LCCC that will be part of their permanent college transcripts. Students must qualify for this class through testing options made available by the high school and LCCC. See the guidance office for details.
