Spring 2019 events

Our dinner and movie night this semester got rescheduled twice due to our lovely winter, but we finally got to eat our tacos on March 6.

.

On March 23, we attended the Havana Cuba All-Stars Asere performance. They announced that audience members were allowed to take pictures and videos, so we have a short video showing part of the performance.

Today we attended Metropolitan Community College's 20th annual 5 de mayo celebration on its south campus. The keynote speaker was Dr. Theresa Barron-McKeagney, and we enjoyed performances by Mariachi Omaha and the Mexican Dance Company of Nebraska, as well as lunch catered by La Mesa.

Our last event of the year will be a dinner at La Mesa on Friday, May 17. Permission forms and details are available in Google Classroom and the Spanish room.
