Ms. Zawi

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas (WHOOSH! Go Comets!) and have always had a passion for teaching! I am honored to be a part of the Sonntag Family as I embark on my 15th year of teaching. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught grades 1st-3rd. Social Emotional Learning is a passion of mine, and developing relationships with my students is a key to success in my experience--and that's why I treasure our morning meetings. In the classroom, you may find that I am dancing alongside students, dressed up in costume, or reading aloud in animated voices. Learning and teaching are filled with fun and joy for everyone.

I spend a lot of time with my family and friends and enjoy entertaining any chance I can get! I love crafting, cooking, baking, and hiking. I have a 5-year-old Bengal-Siamese cat named Mochi who keeps me on my toes.

Fun facts: I am a bubble tea enthusiast, a collector of office supplies and writing utensils, and a bridal makeup artist.
