Ms. Warnell

Hello!  My name is Kierstyn Warnell and I am so excited to be a part of the Sonntag family this year. I cannot wait to begin this new school year alongside such a wonderful community of students, families, and staff. 

I graduated from Nelson University with a degree in marketing, then took an unconventional path to education.  I have worked in the music industry, the corporate world, and even as a professional cake decorator before finding my true passion in education.  This year marks my 15th year in elementary education, and I continue to feel grateful every day for the opportunity to do what I love. 

One of the things I value most as an educator is helping students believe in themselves and recognize their own potential. I strive to create a classroom environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to grow both academically and personally. I truly believe that when students feel confident and valued, they are capable of achieving amazing things.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories together. I have three teenage boys who keep life exciting!  I also love reading, cooking, hiking, and listening to music whenever I can. I am excited for the opportunity to get to know each student and family this year and look forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and fun together!
