We had another wonderful week and the kids had so much fun at the Opera! Thank you to all the parents who made it out to Curriculum Night last night! Here are the slides that we went over during the time together. Please be sure to read our Newsletter, as there is a lot of important information!

This week, we will be sending home the rounding and representation practice. Please remember this is optional but highly recommended. We want to ensure students are getting enough repetition and practice. If your child returns their homework on Monday, they will receive a reward.
MATH FLASH CARDS COMING HOME
Your child will be coming home with multiplication flash cards today. They are ready to go except for the cutting. Memorizing their multiplication tables is so important at this stage to make problem solving more efficient as we work with larger numbers.
What we are learning this week:
Reading: I can recognize characteristics and structures of informational text, including the central idea with supporting evidence.
Writing: I can plan and draft an informational piece of writing.
Grammar: I can capitalize the titles of people and places.
Math: I can solve/represent real-world problems using addition or subtraction up to 1,000
Science: I can predict, observe, and record changes in the state of matter caused by heating or cooling in a variety of substances.
Social Studies: I can describe how individuals, events, and ideas have changed communities, past and present.
