Behavior

Our Third Grade team focuses on reinforcing positive behavior and believe that by doing so, students will learn the appropriate behaviors that help them to be successful in school. This year, 3rd grade students will earn points in Class Dojo for appropriate behaviors that are being taught throughout the year. We spend a lot of time and energy helping students develop these skills. They can then use their points to redeem different rewards (sit with a friend at lunch, lunch in the classroom, pajama day, shoes off, etc.) 

Please note that the reward system mentioned above is the grade level system. Individual classrooms may have extra rewards to fit the needs of the students. Each class will also have opportunities to earn whole class rewards in our school reward system, such as Flashlight Reading, Extra Recess, Picnic Lunch, etc. 

Communication and Attendance

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. Phone calls and emails should be returned within 24 hours during the school week. In the case of an emergency or change in transportation, please contact Elizabeth Kahle in the front office at 469-633-3925 and homeroom teacher. Please report any absences on the Phillips websites.
