Welcome to 3rd Grade!

My name is Shannon Gonzalez, and I’m so excited to welcome you to an amazing year of learning and growth.This year, I’ll be teaching reading, writing, and grammar to both my homeroom class and Ms. Marr’s homeroom class. We’re going to read incredible stories, become stronger writers, build our grammar skills, and explore many exciting new topics throughout the year.

I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and earned my Master of Education from Dallas Baptist University. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching prekindergarten, second grade, and third grade, and I truly love helping students grow into confident learners.

I’ve lived in the Dallas area my entire life. My family includes my wonderful husband, our amazing daughter and son-in-law, our lovable husky-shepherd mix, Willow, and our two newly adopted miniature pinscher mixes, Gus and Remi.
