S mile! It’s what I try to do every day. You should try it too; you may just brighten someone’s day.

E veryone is my friend and I will try to be your friend too. A friend has two very important qualities: they are nice and they help you do what is right.

L istening is a skill I have learned, and I share what I have learned with others.

O ffers help to all of those in need: teachers, parents, and YOU!

R espectful and responsible. They are both qualities you have to learn in order to be a successful student. You will be held accountable for your attitude and your choices, so make sure they are good ones!

I am privileged to be starting my 22nd year (2022-2023) as the school counselor at Fisher Elementary. Each year is more amazing than the last. I am excited to continue to serve our wonderful school family at Fisher.

My career in education is rooted in my passion for children: I believe every child should feel they are valued and important. I taught special education for three years while pursuing my Master of Science in School Counseling and Master of Arts in Counseling. I am both certified as a school counselor and licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). As well as, I have a Master of Education, with an emphasis in Administration.

Off campus, I acquire practical experience raising my 15 year old daughter, Gianna, soon to be 16. My daughter will be a sophomore at Wakeland High School. I treasure the time I spend with my daughter, my husband, Jim, of 29 years, my family and friends. We also enjoy playing and spending time with Taffy Snickerdoodle our family. dog. We have a dwarf hamster named Elo-Melo. I enjoy jewel diamond art, coloring, scrap booking, reading, and watching my daughter light up the stage with her dancing!

My philosophy:

I believe in empowering children with the “tools/strategies” they need to become the best version of themselves. Helping them realize they can accomplish what they put their minds and hearts into by being great problem-solvers, resilient, and having a positive attitude.
