Parents, Did you know? Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized and celebrated program that helps students understand the effects that drugs, tobacco, and alcohol have on people. The Red Ribbon Campaign became a symbol of support for the DEA’s efforts to reduce demand for drugs through prevention and education. By wearing a red ribbon during the last week in October, students demonstrate their ardent opposition to drugs. Vandeventer Middle School is recognizing Red Ribbon Week.  Please have your child support this wonderful program by participating in the daily themes. Through education, we can help with the fight against drugs!

Frisco ISD participates annually in the nationwide drug prevention program Red Ribbon Week. We encourage parents to have discussions with their children about the topics we will be covering on campus during that week: Drugs, Alcohol, & Vaping.
