Bully Prevention

Vandeventer and FISD has implemented the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program to help educate our students about bullying.  The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) prevents or reduces bullying in elementary, middle and junior high schools (with students ages five to fifteen). OBPP is not a curriculum, but a program that deals with bullying at the schoolwide, classroom, individual, and community levels.

The power of the bystander in a bully situation...

In almost all bully situations, there are bystanders that watch the incident occur. The bystander can have a major impact on the end result. If we can get the bystanders involved, bully situations would decrease.
