Eric Frichette     Teacher       frichettee@friscoisd.org

Hi,

I teach in a Structured Learning Class with two of the greatest assistants in the world.  Our class is an alternative setting, tailor made for students with developing communication, socialization, academic, behavioral, and / or functional skills.  We make use of visual supports, evidence-based teaching strategies, a structured setting and schedule, and low student / staff ratio as we learn, grow, and make memories together.  Much of the time you will see us out and about the school doing all the usual elementary school stuff everyone else does.

I am an Air Force veteran and parent of three amazing adult children.  My wife and I live in Oak Point.  I am starting my 29th year teaching students with special needs of all ages and ability levels.  The majority of my educational experience has been in the areas of behavior and Autism.  I earned my undergraduate teaching degree as well as my master’s degree in administration from Texas A&M - Commerce.

Finally, and most importantly, I love teaching and learning from my students and their families.  It never gets old.  Thank you for taking the time to learn about me.

Sincerely,

Eric Frichette

GO TIGERS!!  I’ve been married to my husband, Brian, for 21 years, and have two teenage sons, Kyle and Caleb.  I enjoy attending row classes, reading, puzzles (sudoku, crossword, jigsaw), and hanging out and/or playing with my cat, Peaches.  Here’s to another great year of learning!!

Hello!  I am so glad to be back at Comstock for another year!  This will be my second year in SLC and my fourth year as a Special Ed Para.  I find a great deal of purpose in this role, so I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity.  Prior to this, I was a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Health teacher.  As much as I enjoyed my previous positions, I have really found my place in Special Education.  I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Illinois State University

On a personal level, I am a veteran of the US Air Force, and married with two incredible kids (3rd & 8th grade) that I love to spend time with.  We do a lot of traveling, camping together, and staying active through sports and hiking.  When I do get some down time, I love to draw and paint.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I am very excited for this upcoming year!
