Hello and welcome to the 2025-2026  school year!  My name is Amy Hejnicki and I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Carroll again this year, I think this school is a great place to be!  I am a native Texan and I attended Texas A&M University which is where I met my husband, Mark.  This is my 23rd year in education and my 16th year working at Carroll.  Mark and I have 3 "kids" and one spolied goldendoodle.   Our son, Kyle, is a graduate of Texas A&M University and he is a teacher and coach at Canyon Lake High School in the Texas Hill Country.  He and his wife, Lauren, live in Bulverde where she works at her family's home building business.  They have two precious daughters, Lucille and Eliza.   Kathryn also graduated from Texas A&M and is a 7th grade math teacher in Bryan, Texas. Courtney is a junior at Texas A&M studying Dance Science. As you can tell, we've made Texas A&M a family tradition!  I enjoy reading,  relaxing with family, traveling and  making trips  to Aggieland for football games or to Bulverde to see Lucille and Eliza.  I am looking forward to an amazing year working with your precious children!  We're going to make it a great year!
