¡Bienvenidos a Primer Grado Bilingüe!

Mi nombre es Elena Martos y estoy muy econtenta de compartir con ustedes el año escolar 2026-2027.

Nací en Madrid, España, aunque crecí en Pamplona. Desde muy joven descubrí que conocer otras culturas y aprender nuevos idiomas abre puertas y nos ayuda a comprender mejor el mundo. Cuando terminé la universidad me mudé a Galway, Irlanda, donde viví durante siete años. Más tarde tuve la oportunidad de vivir en Seúl, Corea del Sur, donde trabajé como profesora de inglés. Todas estas experiencias me permitieron conocer personas de diferentes culturas y reforzaron mi pasión por la educación y por el aprendizaje de idiomas.

Actualmente vivo en Frisco con mi esposo, John. Una de las cosas de las que me siento más orgullosa es haberle enseñado español y que sea el idioma que usamos para comunicarnos en casa, a pesar de que nadie más en su familia lo habla. No tenemos hijos, pero disfrutamos muchísimo pasando tiempo con nuestros sobrinos, quienes llenan nuestras vidas de alegría.

Llevo 18 años dedicada a la enseñanza y he tenido el privilegio de enseñar en España, Irlanda, Corea del Sur y Estados Unidos. Estudié en España y actualmente estoy cursando un Máster en Neuropsicología y Educación, porque creo que un buen maestro nunca deja de aprender.

En el aula me apasiona despertar la curiosidad de mis estudiantes, fomentar el amor por la lectura, explorar el mundo de las ciencias y ayudar a que cada niño desarrolle confianza en sí mismo. También creo firmemente en el poder del bilingüismo y, sobre todo, en ofrecer muchas oportunidades para que todos los alumnos puedan alcanzar su máximo potencial. Mi objetivo es que cada estudiante se sienta valorado, incluido y feliz de venir a la escuela cada día.

Cuando no estoy enseñando, disfruto haciendo deporte, viajando y, sobre todo, leyendo. Los libros son una de mis mayores pasiones y siempre estoy buscando aprender algo nuevo. Mi tema favorito es el universo, así que no se sorprendan si nuestros alumnos escuchan alguna curiosidad sobre el espacio durante el año.

¡Estoy deseando conocer a sus hijos y compartir con ellos un año lleno de aprendizaje, descubrimientos y momentos inolvidables!

Welcome to Bilingual First Grade!

My name is Marta Martos Verge, and I am excited to share the 2026-2027 school year with you and your family.

I was born in Madrid, Spain, but I grew up in Pamplona. From an early age, I discovered that learning new languages and experiencing different cultures opens doors and helps us better understand the world around us. After graduating from college, I moved to Galway, Ireland, where I lived for seven years. Later, I had the opportunity to move to Seoul, South Korea, where I worked as an English teacher. These experiences enriched both my personal and professional life and strengthened my passion for education and language learning.

I now live in Frisco with my husband, John. One of the things I am most proud of is teaching him Spanish, which is now the language we use to communicate at home—even though no one else in his family speaks it. We do not have children, but we love spending time with our nieces and nephews, who bring so much joy to our lives.

I have been teaching for 18 years in Spain, Ireland, South Korea, and the United States. I earned my degree in Spain and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Neuropsychology and Education because I believe great teachers are lifelong learners.

In the classroom, I strive to spark curiosity, encourage a love of reading, explore the wonders of science, and help every child grow in confidence. I strongly believe in the power of bilingualism and in giving every student multiple opportunities to succeed. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels welcomed, valued, included, and excited to learn each day.

Outside of school, I enjoy exercising, traveling, and, above all, reading. Books are one of my greatest passions, and I love learning new things. My favorite subject is the universe, so don't be surprised if your child comes home sharing a fun fact about space!

I look forward to partnering with your family and making this a wonderful year filled with learning, curiosity, and unforgettable memories.
