Miss Moreno

¡Bienvenidos sean todos a Primer año! Mi nombre es María Célica Moreno y todos me llaman Célica. Que alegría me da el poder compartir este año escolar del 2025-2026 con ustedes.

Yo nací en la Ciudad de México y nos mudamos a Frisco cuando tenía 14 años. Lo bueno de venirme más grande fue que tuve una excelente educación del idioma español al vivir allá. El problema fue que me costó trabajo aprender todas las reglas del idioma inglés. Lo positivo de esta experiencia es que yo comprendo los problemas y los beneficios de aprender un segundo idioma. El punto es que me superé y me gradué de Texas A&M-Commerce en el 2013 con una licenciatura en Educación Bilingüe. De esta forma voy a ayudar a todos los que pasan por el mismo proceso de aprender inglés y  ganar la batalla bilingüe. 

Cuando no estoy dedicando mi tiempo a la enseñanza, me gusta pasar tiempo con mi familia y mis perros. Yo vivo con mis padres y mis tres perros Lucas, Lila y Shiro- dos traviesos labradores y un chihuahua que me dan mucha felicidad. En las tardes le dedico tiempo a mi bella familia y soy muy feliz cuando convivimos juntos viendo películas, saliendo a pasear, o solo relajándonos en la casa. Le doy gracias a Dios por haberme bendecido con una bella sobrina que me hizo agregar el título de "Tía" a todo lo que hago ahora. 

¡Estoy emocionada de pasar este año maravilloso con ustedes!

Welcome to first grade! My name is Maria Celica Moreno and I got by Celica. I am very happy to share the 2025-2026 school year with you.

I was born in Mexico City and we moved to Frisco when I was 14 years old. The good thing about moving when I was older was that I received an excellent education in the Spanish Language. The problem of that was that it was really hard to learn all the rules in the English language. The positive side of this experience is that I can comprehend the problems and benefits of learning and mastering a second (or more) language. The gist is that I overcame this struggle and I graduated from Texas A&M- Commerce in 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with Bilingual certification. This way I will help all those that go through the same process of learning English and winning the Bilingual Battle.

When I am not dedicating my time to teaching, I like to spend time with my family and dogs. I live with my parents and my three dogs, Lucas, Lila and Shiro- two playful Labradors and a Chihuahua that bring me loads of happiness. In the afternoon I dedicate some time to my beautiful family and I am very happy when we get to hang out together watching movie, going out to places, or simply by relaxing at home. I thank God that blessed me with a beautiful niece that has helped me add the title of "Aunt" to the roles that I already do. 

I am excited to spend this wonderful year with you guys!
