Welcome

Hello! My name is Jenna Schmidt, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year.

This is my second year teaching at Bright and I am excited to create a fun, welcoming, and supportive classroom where every student’s needs are valued.

I grew up in Waxahachie, Texas, and moved further into North Texas and decided to never leave. Outside of school, I am the oldest sister and have 5 dogs: Luna, Penelope, Terminator, Bill, and Scrappy. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, watching movies, reading, spending time with friends, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. Fun fact, I traveled to 12 different states this summer!

My classroom is a place for learning and caring for each other. Every student is encouraged to explore their curiosity, build meaningful relationships, learn new things and most importantly, grow as a mathematician and scientist throughout the year.
