My name is Alexis Hollins and I am excited to be your child’s fourth grade reading and language arts teacher this year. This year is going to be filled with fun, new friends, and a lot of learning! I think that learning can be both fun and rigorous and that’s the environment that I strive to create each day! This will be my sixth year teaching at Bright Academy and ninth year in education. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus in Special Education. I am from Indiana and Michigan. I’ve called Texas home for six years.  I live in Mckinney with my husband, Nick. We have two children. My daughter Alani is starting PreK at Bright this year, and my son Saint is 1 years old.  

I believe each student should be given the opportunity to grow and succeed in a caring, safe, and challenging environment. I have a passion for reading and look forward to getting my students excited about reading! I believe in creating a positive classroom environment that includes teachers, students, and parents all working together. I can’t wait to partner with you.
