DISMISSAL CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE BY 2:00 PM AND EMAILED TO BOTH YOUR CHILD'S CLASSROOM TEACHER AND battistak@FRISCOISD.ORG!
Arrival
To expedite morning carpool dropoff, we will run two car lines - through the front and back of the school and you are welcome to use either. You will pull to a stop where a staff member will greet your child and help them out of the car. All exterior doors will be locked at 7:45am for the start of school. If you arrive after that time, you will need to get your child to the front of the building to check in through the office.
Front Car Line: If you are travelling West on Oakland Hills toward Independence, you will turn left and go through the front carpool line where students will enter through the front doors.
Back Car Line: If you are travelling East on Oakland Hills away from Independence, you will turn right and go through the back carpool line where students will enter through the cafeteria doors.
Walkers: All students who walk to school will enter the building through the side doors under the crepe myrtle trees and by the bicycle racks.
Bus Riders: Students will be greeted as they exit the bus by a staff member and will be escorted into the building through the library.
Breakfast: If you would like your child to eat breakfast at school, it is available for students upon arrival. If your child is going to be eating breakfast on campus each day, please try to have them at school no later than 7:30 AM so they have time to finish eating before the school day begins at 7:45 AM.
Dismissal
Our dismissal procedures will begin at 3:05 PM each day. During dismissal, student safety is our number one priority. It is crucial that teachers and staff are able to focus all their attention on getting students home in the correct way, and distractions impede the safety and security of our precious kiddos. Every day, but especially if there is a rainy day, or any sort of chaotic situation at pick up, please assist staff by remaining calm and complying with procedures so that we can focus on student safety.
Car Riders: If your child will be picked up by a car, you will come to the front carpool line at dismissal. If you have an older child who also attends Anderson, they will meet the younger siblings at the front carpool line as well. Turn right into the front car line (no left turns permitted at dismissal time) and students will be lined up by class. You were given a green cardstock paper with your child’s name and teacher’s name to keep on your dashboard during pick up. As you head through the line, someone will call your child and they will head to a spot where you will park so they can get in and you can head home! Thank you for driving slowly and safely through the neighborhood during this time, and refraining from cell phone use.
Walkers: 2nd grade and 3rd grade walkers will be dismissed out of our individual Pod 2 doors. They will be seated at the glass doors by Nature’s Alley. When you arrive, you will use the green cardstock paper with your child’s name and teacher’s name to show the teacher on duty and they will send your child out to you.
Bus Riders: Students who ride the yellow school bus OR a bus to an after school program will be monitored by a staff member until their bus arrives to take students to their destination.
After Care: YMCA programs are offered for after school here on campus. For more information on enrollment, ask the front office at your earliest convenience.
