Project Read - Multi-sensory Approach
Writing Workshop - Children will have many opportunities for writing including journals, literacy centers, and teacher directed activities.
Handwriting - The program is called Handwriting Without Tears. It is a simple, developmentally based curriculum for writing readiness, printing, and cursive. Multisensory lessons teach to all learning styles - visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic.

Math
Math in Focus
It provides a Singapore math curriculum—highlighting problem solving as the focus of mathematical learning. This program teaches concepts using a concrete–pictorial–abstract learning progression to anchor learning in real-world, hands-on experiences, supported by an integration of technology with the use of eBooks, Interactive Whiteboard activities, online student activities, and online manipulatives.
Theme Learning
Theme Learning is a combination of science and social studies based themes using the following tools: Foss Science Program and Weekly Readers. Lessons will include stories, writings, illustrations and other various projects to address topics such as; family, community, seasons, weather, plants, harvest, etc.
Special Classes
Children will partake in the following classes: health, physical education, music, art, computers and library classes. Please have your child wear sneakers on physical education days.
Free Choice/Interest Activities
Children will have free choice of several areas to play. Areas include art, manipulatives, computers, library, games, and block building. Children will move about the classroom freely building social skills, strengthening friendly bonds while using their imagination and creativity.
