2019 Novel Coronavirus
Also called COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2, it is an infectious disease that can cause no symptoms to mild to severe infection. Symptoms can begin anywhere from 2 to 10 days after infection with the virus. Lengthen of symptoms can vary from person to person, too.
My child is sick. What symptoms should I watch for?
Two or more of the following symptoms:
fever (measure or subjective)
chills
shivers
muscle aches
headache
congestion or runny nose
sore throat
nausea or vomiting
diarrhea
extreme tiredness
AND/OR
One or more of the following symptoms:
cough
shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
changes in taste and smell.
My child tested positive for COVID-19. What do I do?
Call your child's building school nurse and/or building administrator for more guidance.
My child were exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. What do I do?
Please contact the school nurse and/or building principal for further guidance.
How do we prevent spreading COVID-19?
Get vaccinated.
Stay home when you are sick.
Wash your hands with soap & water for 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.
Wear a properly fitting mask that covers your nose and mouth, especially when sick.
Avoid touching your face, eyes and mouth.
Physical distancing from one another, especially when sick.
