ABOUT MRS. TAMBLYN:

I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 23rd year of teaching, and my 17th year of teaching in the Fort Atkinson School District. I taught for 11 years and then took some time off when we had our two boys.  I  love teaching 5th grade and know we are going to have an awesome year!  

I grew up in Lake Geneva, WI and both of my parents were educators. My mom was an art teacher (although I didn't get much of her artistic talent!) and my dad was a 6th grade teacher and superintendent. Education is definitely in our family. My sister is a 1st grade teacher and my husband teaches high school math!  

My family consists of my husband, Mike, and our two boys, Calvin and Connor.  Calvin is in his first year of college and Connor is a junior in high school. 

Our family loves to boat and spend time outside. This summer we  spent a week up north at a small cabin on a lake. When I have a little quiet time, I like to read books. During the summer, I read a lot of great 5th grade books to get ready for our school year!

SOBRE LA SRA. TAMBLYN

¡Estoy muy emocionada de ser su maestra este año! Este será mi 23º año de enseñanza, y mi 17º año de enseñanza en el Distrito Escolar de Fort Atkinson. Enseñé durante 11 años y luego me tomé un tiempo libre cuando tuvimos a nuestros dos hijos.  ¡Me encanta enseñar el 5º grado y sé que vamos a tener un año increíble!  

Crecí en Lake Geneva, WI y mis dos padres eran educadores. Mi madre era profesora de arte (¡aunque yo no he recibido mucho de su talento artístico!) y mi padre era profesor de 6º grado y superintendente. La educación está definitivamente en nuestra familia. Mi hermana es profesora de primer grado y mi marido es profesor de matemáticas de secundaria.  

Mi familia está formada por mi marido, Mike, y nuestros dos hijos, Calvin y Connor.  Calvin está en su primer año de universidad y Connor en el primer año de instituto. 

A nuestra familia le encanta navegar y pasar tiempo al aire libre. Este verano pasamos una semana en el norte, en una pequeña cabaña en un lago. Cuando tengo un rato de tranquilidad, me gusta leer libros. Durante el verano, leí un montón de grandes libros de 5º grado para prepararme para el año escolar.
