7th Grade

  • Welcome to Ms. Raymond's 7th Grade Math Page
  • "That sometimes clear. . .and sometimes vague stuff. . . which is . . . mathematics." Imre Lakatos
  • "The fact is that there are few more 'popular' subjects than mathematics." Godfrey H. Hardy
  • Of course, we knew this already, and this course is sure to be very popular. Early this fall, we will study statistics and do a statistics project. This year we will also work with integers, exponents, dimensional analysis, ratio, proportion, percent, geometry, equations, inequalities, and graphing.
  • You will need to bring your notes, lined paper, a pencil, and a calculator to class every day (and we do have math every day - how lucky!). You'll want your math book in class some days. I’ll distribute planners with homework assignments in class, but you can also check this webpage as needed. If you are absent, it’s a good idea to check with a classmate for any changes; sometimes we get sidetracked by an interesting question or get carried away with a topic and have to adjust the plan.
  • "Each of the positive integers was one of his personal friends." J.E. Littlewood about Ramanujan
  • Let's make some friends among the integers!
