JSTOR (short for Journal Storage) is a digital library of more than 1,500 academic journals, primary source documents, and books. Many items are full-text and peer-reviewed.

The Basic Search:

    • Searching in JSTOR can be convenient and simple
    • Simply try out some keywords or phrases that are related to the information you're trying to find
    • If you are finding too much information or even too little, try improving your results by using Advanced Search

The Advanced Search:

    • Advanced search lets you select multiple components to add to your search (like Title, Author, Full Text, Year of Publication, etc.)
    • Please be aware that sometimes, advanced search can be unforgiving and return no results.
    • If you get few or no results, try changing your search options or make terms/dates/publications more broad.
    • If you're still getting too many results, try adding more terms/dates and be more specific with your search.
    • Please stop by the library or email us (library@fhu.edu) for further help navigating JSTOR.
