Supporting Great Causes

With FFPU, preserving public access is a passion! We have helped several organizations by letters of support and promoting fundraisers. We are currently working very hard to reopen the Circle Creek Forest Road and gain access to the Crystal Lake & Circle Peak Trails with DARA & River Resource Trust. Please help us save this road!

Work in Partnerships

Working together we can do so much more! FFPU has a volunteer contract with the Darrington Ranger District & works to be their eyes for the forest roads, keep them clean, safe & open. We worked with our WCC friends on several projects, both groups sharing a passion of keeping access to the backcountry. Together we repaired the concrete ford on Clear Creek Road, FSR #2060, & brushed out several forest roads. Once a year FFPU turns it's attentions to helping with trails on National Trail Day & encourages diverse recreation users groups to come out & give back to the trails they love whether it be hiking trails, bicycle trails or fitness trails. We believe all recreation users share a common bond of the love of the outdoors. After the workday we all enjoy a meal organized by FFPU & Darrington community at the Darrington Rodeo Grounds generously provided by DHOA.

Working Together We Can Bring About Powerful & Positive Changes! We Welcome All Ages & Groups To Join In Our Efforts to Become Stewards For Our Forest Roads!

Our Next Generation of Stewards

Our youngest volunteer, Jayden put in what he felt was a long day clearing rocks off of the concrete ford on Clear Creek Road. We believe it is important to take time & teach our youth the importance of forest road stewardship. It is even more important to live by example. The most valuable part of their volunteer service is they know they are having a positive impact on a very special place & a sense of ownership & community pride for public lands!
