LATCA offers a continuous technical support program through which partners can request laboratory analyses without the usual bureaucratic procedures typically associated with contracting research services. This streamlined structure allows partners to access LATCA’s expertise and analytical infrastructure quickly and efficiently.
In just four steps, partners can obtain analyses from LATCA/UFRJ:
Initial Contact – The partner contacts LATCA and presents their analytical needs.
Technical Evaluation – The technical team evaluates the request and provides a quotation along with the expected execution timeline.
Service Execution – Once the service is contracted, the analysis is performed and a technical report or analytical bulletin is issued with the results.
Administrative Processing – Billing is handled directly by Fundação COPPETEC, which issues the invoice for payment and forwards the analytical report to the partner.
Among the most requested analyses performed at LATCA are: Chromatographic analyses of oil and natural gas, viscosity and density measurements, vapor pressure determination, measurement of Minimum Miscibility Pressure (MMP) and determination of the Swelling Test / PEV curve for reservoir fluids
These services support research, development, and industrial applications related to petroleum fluids, reservoir engineering, and thermodynamic characterization under high-pressure conditions.
