Research Infrastructure

LATCA occupies an area of 150 m2, subdivided into three independent laboratories: Measurement of Properties at High Pressure, Measurement of Properties at Low Pressure and Physical-chemical Analysis.

Among the facilities available at LATCA are high-pressure PVT equipment suitable for preparing phase, density and viscosity envelopes and conducting tests necessary in the production and separation of oil reservoir fluids, high-pressure reactors, viscometer for high viscosity measurements pressure and chemical analysis equipment, environmental and safety control equipment and computers.
