Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Redid CAD with better tolerances to allow for deformation of the plastic
Combined spring mounts with camera/latch mounts to minimize space needed
Updated report according to instructor feedback
Refined analysis of impact as a rigid body problem
Analyzed spring/damping coefficients of honeycomb Ninjaflex samples
Chose better sample, may print optimal one if time allows
Reach goal: come up with a list of optimal prints for each weight range
Accomplishments from Previous Week
CAD'd and printed all attachment points
found areas to be improved on while assembling parts
Printed less rigid Ninjaflex, optimal for lighter weights/lower impacts
Started on rigid body analysis
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Print optimal honeycomb, compile spring/damping values (Andrew)
CAD attachment points for honeycomb alone (Zoe)
Refine report (Mark)
Finish rigid body analysis (Ang)

Straight arm bar may be too low for user's comfort
Replace solid bar with angled pipe
Honeycomb is a good, more slim option than honeycomb+springs
Investigate honeycomb design further
Best way to thread 3D prints is with heated metal inserts
Investigate further for latch attachment point - would help strength of part as well

Refine report
Clarify background
Narrow down requirements
Further discussion of safety requirements needed
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
5/16, presentation feedback
More clear graphics in presentation would aid understanding
Need to do more in depth analysis of Ninjaflex
More details regarding dampers needed
