Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
This week's progress follows the feedback from the risk reduction presentation. Parts were ordered over spring break to build and test the feasibility of the servo and DC motor designs. With all of the parts, rough prototypes of each design were constructed and tested on the arm test bed.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Researched and Ordered parts
Conceptualized different design ideas
Researched and built actuation methods on a micro-servo using different sensors.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Clean up prototypes.
Flex sensor, pressure sensor (Jose)
Servo Motor (Ethan)
Look for areas of improvement in prototypes
Signal noise - Muscle sensor (Ethan), Flex sensor (Jose)
Test bed refinement (Marcos)
Narrow down design options and start focus on one design (Team)
Establish workspace (Team)

Comments from Sponsor:
Keep load off the patient's arm.
Try and keep the device weight going through the shoulder and the trunk.
Motivate Max and his involvement in the project.
Our Actions
Design and fabrication of pulley prototype to satisfy this constraint.
Tested
Created multiple demonstrations for Max to visualize actuation methods.

Spend some money, and build 2-3 Prototypes in a quick fashion, to understand some of the conflicts that may arise.
Build a testbed.
Consider many different design solutions.
