Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Most of the parts have been delivered. Waiting on motors.
Started the assembly of the arms. Will need to re-laser cut some parts to address issues faced.
Priority of the design has been clarified. Finalized the plan for the handle/attachment
Laryngoscope Handle CAD model is finished, 3D printing will be done later this week for accuracy testing
System kinematics and forces & torques defined.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Some parts were delivered.
Laser cutting of robot parts is completed.
Design decisions regarding multi-arm tool joint and tool attachment mechanism were discussed and finalized
Software goals have been laid out.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Alex and Eric: Put kinematics into code and start experimenting with haptic feedback
Jackie: Design/CAD roll-joint
Jackie & Daniel: Finish arm assembly
Daniel: Design/CAD U-joint

Dr. Suresh informed us that the handle of the laryngoscope given to us is universally used. Made the decision to CAD/ 3D print only the handle instead of the entire tool so the device can be used with different blades. (in-person 4/14)

Risks and Areas of Concern
Deviance between CAD holes for screws and bearings and actual size of the parts
Charred portion of the parts wearing out (precision of the size)
Receiving the rest of the parts needed for arm assembly in time
Inevitable software issues
